What is Nexus?
Whether it’s board games, books, or collectables, Nexus has it all. Locations: a small one in Kringlan (the shopping centre) and one in the Glaesibaer shopping centre. The one in Glaesibaer is the main location. What can I find there? Nexus is mainly for board/role-playing games while also having a huge selection of books at a lower price than most other common bookstores. It also has a huge variety of merchandise and collectables, which are hard to come by elsewhere in the country. There is a huge variety of Warhammer products, a giant collection of board games, and an abundance of accessories and miniatures for DnD. But shopping is not all that is offered there, as Nexus also features many events for all kinds of games, like Warhammer, Magic the Gathering, and Pokémon. You can find out more about when these events take place by asking at the counter. The staff is very friendly and will be glad to help. Another fun little event is held every Saturday, where you can go there and get a free Warhammer miniature that you can paint right there. There is also an instructor there who can help you out if it’s your first time painting and assembling a miniature, or even if you are a more advanced miniature painter and just want some input on your painting technique.
Facilities:
If you would like to play DnD with your friends, Nexus has you covered, as there are two rooms dedicated to DnD that can be booked for no cost, allowing you to have a place to play your favourite tabletop games (and a little tip, you can ask for a DnD character sheet at the cashier, and you will get one for free!).
Warhammer can also be enjoyed easily in Nexus, as they have many tables that can be set up for the game entirely for free. There is no registration, so just walk in and set up a table for yourself. If they are all taken, though, you can ask an employee for another playmat that can be put on a normal table there. What will make your Warhammer experience even better is the collection of props that can be borrowed for your game, also for free, but you will still need to bring your own army. The best day to come by for a game is Thursday, as that is when „competitive“ games are held, which makes sure you have someone to play with, even if you are there alone.
